Training:
How
Skip La Cour's Experience Can Help You Achieve Measurable Results Effectively
And Efficiently
Use
My Experience To Propel Your Efforts In The Gym
I am often
asked if my training routines and strategies would work for someone who is just
starting to train. My answer always is, "Absolutely"! I also believe
they would be great for intermediate and advanced bodybuilders as well.
I
don't necessarily believe there are such things as beginner, intermediate, and
advanced training routines. When it comes to overloading the muscle with weights
in order to effectively stimulate the muscle building process, we are all very
much the same—regardless of our training experience. The muscle building
process is much simpler than many of us make it.
Let
me ask you a question: If you wanted to learn a foreign language, would you go
to a toddler who may speak the language--but only in a limited, "baby talk"
manner and then try to progress from that?
It would be the most effective route, but I guess you could do that if you
wanted.
If you are the
kind of person who would actually read this far into this web page, I
believe that pace would be much too slow for you. Wouldn't you rather go to a
highly-experienced teacher who has spoken the language fluently and effectively for years? Wouldn't
you want to follow their lead and aspire to their level as soon as possible? It
may be more difficult at the beginning, but there's little doubt you'd give yourself the best
chance for the most significant results in the shortest period of time?
In other
words, if you are a beginner, there's no need to use beginner routine (whatever
those might be). There's no need to use intermediate strategies if you are an
intermediate.
I sure wish I
knew what I know now when I was a beginner. I wish I had tried more of those
strategies given out by more experienced bodybuilders when I was just starting
out. I would have saved myself so much time and effort! You know, you don't have
to make the same mistakes I (and so many others) have made.
Many of the
training strategies that I currently use were certainly available in the muscle
magazines when I was a beginner; I just choose NOT to use them. I had all the
same reasons and rationalizations for not using them as many of you do: Everyone
responds differently; that guy is on drugs; that guy has exceptional genetics so
anything he does will work; he has more years of training and can get by using
those strategies, and so on.
The good news
is that I preserved for over 13 years now and have eventually arrived at this
level of knowledge. I continue to learn more about bodybuilding to this very
day. The bad news is that many of you will not keep training due inferior
results, frustration, and confusion.
I’m
not suggesting I have the only set of “right” answers. In fact, I believe there are
certain ways you can make just about every training method effective. When
you are absolutely convinced a training philosophy won’t work for you, a
logical explanation as to why that particular method will indeed work is usually
what’s missing.
Without
an explanation that makes sense to you, you will not have the certainty and
confidence that you must have before for you to give every ounce of your
physical, mental, and emotional effort into the training strategy you have
chosen.
I
understand the confusion, frustration, and anxiety that can come from trying to
put all the pieces to this complex puzzle together. Even though I have many years
of training experience under my belt, I still remember how confused I was along
my journey.
Breaking Through Frustrating Plateaus
Break
Through Sticking Points With Skip La Cour's Proven Physical And Mental
Strategies.
Hitting
a plateau, or in
other words, having your training progress come to a screeching halt, is
probably one of the most feared and frustrating events a bodybuilder can ever
experience. There isn’t anyone on this planet who wants to work extremely hard
at something and not show signs of improvement. This is especially true when it
comes to such a demanding lifestyle as bodybuilding.
Becoming
stagnant with your training will surely lead to frustration—a feeling that
undercuts the level of fulfillment you hope to enjoy from bodybuilding. The
mounting frustration, if not quickly alleviated, will eventually overwhelm you.
Becoming overwhelmed is the primary reason many lifters stop training. altogether.
I'm
extremely skilled at making sure this won't happen to you.
